Each model addresses a specific level of preparedness on your part. DSS carries out the entire software development at their own premises in India as per the functional requirements defined by the customer. A detailed project plan comprising milestones, guidelines and schedules is evolved and customer's approval is obtained. The customer retains control over the project through interaction over the Internet and regular conference calls, status reviews, project reports etc. DSS’s institutionalized and proven methodology ensures customer’s comfort level and successful delivery.
This model is best suited where the customer has a clear idea, preferably including the specifications, of the development requirements.
DSS places the required number of software developers on customer premises, where the entire software development is carried out under customer’s supervision and day-to-day interaction. The onsite placement may be a short-term requirement of a few weeks/months, or may extend over a longer duration of a few years.
This model is recommended in cases where the project scope is evolving, the work involved is interactive in nature, or the customer needs to augment its own team.
While most of the development takes place offshore at DSS’s premises, some key person/s (Project Manager or Systems Analyst) are placed onsite at customer premises, for some suitable periods of time. Typically, work related to identification of exact requirements, system design, initial project planning etc is done onsite, while the coding and testing takes place offshore.
This model is suitable where the design work in the initial phases of the project and during subsequent reviews calls for a more intense interaction between the customer and DSS. It is also relevant for implementation of ERP applications, where an onsite core team is supported by an offshore technical support group.
Build - Operate - Transfer (B-O-T):
Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) is an innovative outsourcing model that enables faster set up of a cost effective and well managed Offshore Development Centre (ODC) in India, to meet with your outsourcing requirements.
Our BOT model combines the benefits of both the normally used "captive" and "third party service provider" options, wherein business risks are mitigated in the following manner :-
||You may kick start a pilot with a team of 10-20 of our persons (meeting your specifications) and ramp it up over a period of time
||You may assign your technical project manager and we will provide all facilities to make his stay and task hassle free
||You may take over the ODC after the agreed minimum period or renew the contract with us or discontinue it at the pre-defined terms
